Charlotte Extraction Lab, a fast-growing manufacturer at the forefront of natural products chemistry, is seeking a Chemist with experience in analytical testing, quality control, and process development to join our dynamic team near Gastonia. The chemist role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to make an impact by supporting production, ensuring quality, and developing new chemical processes from lab scale to commercial scale.

Chemist Key Responsibilities:
Production Chemistry & Process Optimization    
•    Analyze and report quality parameters of production batches.
•    Identify and implement process optimization initiatives in collaboration with production staff.
•    Support scale-up of lab-developed processes to pilot and commercial scale.
•    Ensure compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
•    Monitor batch records to ensure QA compliance and continuous improvement.
Analytical Chemistry & Quality Control (QA/QC)
•    Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation including GC, HPLC, and NMR.
•    Perform in-process testing and final product analysis to validate purity and potency.
•    Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and troubleshoot analytical results.
•    Assist with the development of formulation improvements and new product R&D.
•    Support documentation and regulatory compliance through organized data management.
Chemist Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or scientific related field
•    2+ years’ experience in a laboratory or pilot-scale environment, preferably in botanical extraction, pharmaceuticals, or food science.
•    Proficiency with chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques (GC, HPLC/LC, NMR).
•    Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead by example
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
•    Flexible schedule availability to support scale-up and development cycles as needed.
