Manager/Supervisor
Experienced hands-on Production Manager wanted for an innovative and growing manufacturer. This role is responsible for supervising production operations at a small but growing 24/7, multi-shift chemical facility near Gastonia as well as optimizing chemical plant operations. You will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure the highest standards of product consistency, safety, and operational efficiency.

Production Manager Responsibilities:
•    Train and supervise production staff on equipment operation. Maintain compliance with operating SOPs and employee handbook.
•    Maintain operating discipline across all 3 shifts, working flexible hours as needed to ensure adequate communications. Monitor employee performance and implement appropriate coaching methods as needed.
•    Operate production equipment as needed to fill in for employee absence or demonstrate operation as a training method.
•    Develop weekly work schedules and maintain electronic payroll systems.
•    Modify existing SOPs and generate new SOPs as operating conditions change.
•    Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Create a “Safety First” work culture.
•    Oversee and document production batches. Track and analyze batch data to ensure compliance with operating SOPs and QA requirements.
•    In collaboration with Plant Manager, identify and implement process optimization projects and equipment improvements.
Production Manager Requirements:
•    5 years’ experience in a production environment (preferably botanical, pharmaceutical, or food)
•    5 years management experience directly supervising production teams
•    Strong understanding of OSHA requirements, GMPs, and quality systems
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
•    Experience operating and troubleshooting chemical processes.
•    Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and technical problem-solving mindset
•    Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting
•    Experience thriving in small company environments with expedited growth
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead by example
•    Comfortable in collaborative environments but also able to hold teams accountable
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure communications across all shifts.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field, preferred
